Who we are

At Ad Astra Advocacy Center, we are a team of compassionate professionals united by one mission: to protect and uplift children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma.

We provide a safe, child-friendly space where healing begins. Through collaboration with law enforcement, child protective services, medical and mental health professionals, and victim advocates, we ensure that every child receives the care and support they deserve — all under one roof.

Rooted in Franklin County, Kansas, our center believes that no child should ever face abuse alone. Our team walks beside children and families every step of the way, offering advocacy, forensic interviews, crisis intervention, and prevention education to build a safer future for our community

Forensic Interviews

A forensic interview is a safe, child-friendly conversation led by a trained professional to help a child share about possible abuse or trauma. It's neutral, non-leading, and recorded so the child doesn’t have to repeat their story. This process helps protect the child while supporting an investigation.

Team Meeting

Team Approach

We use a team approach to support children and families. This means professionals from law enforcement, child protective services, medical, mental health, prosecution, and victim advocacy all work together, as one team, to respond to abuse.

Holding Hands Outdoors

Advocacy

Our advocates support children and families through every step of the process after abuse is reported. Advocates provide emotional support, explain what to expect, connect families to resources, and help them feel safe and empowered during a difficult time.
